Introduction:

Egypt’s hosting of COP 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh and the British University’s involvement in the conference provides the backdrop to the Department of Psychology’s Annual Conference. We are excited to be hosting a two-day conference on how psychology and behavioral sciences can aid in the understanding and promotion of the following United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Health and Wellbeing; Climate Change; Gender Equity; Quality of Education; and Poverty.

We are inviting regional and international scholars, professionals, and students to present their work and exchange ideas in a welcoming and collaborative environment. Abstracts of up to 200-words are invited for the delivery of in-person oral presentations, posters, and workshops related to any of the above SDGs. Where a delegate cannot attend but still wishes their poster to be displayed it can be submitted electronically, but conference fees and printing costs will need to be paid in advance.

When submitting abstracts via the portal please state clearly the following: All project researchers, clearly indicating who will be presenting; your affiliation(s); whether it is an oral or poster presentation, or workshop; and which SDG(s) your work is specifically responding to. Suggested SDG conference sub-themes are listed below although we will consider submissions outside of these.

We look forward to welcoming you in March 2023 for what will be an exciting and collaborative conference.
